About the IR
An institutional repository (IR) is a digital archive that preserves and provides access to an institution's scholarly and creative works.
Mission
The Berry College Institutional Repository preserves and provides access to scholarly and creative works of current Berry staff, students, and faculty.
Benefits
Documenting the scholarship of the college and supporting campus initiatives and goals, such as:
- Staff, student, faculty recruitment. An IR increases the visibility of scholarship.
- Marketing and public relations. An open repository facilitates sharing campus accomplishments.
- Supporting a campus scholarship network. The IR is searchable online. Current students can easily explore examples of other students' work, and student research opportunities.
- Documenting student work. Including their work in an IR gives students a published work that they can easily share on their resumé or as part of a portfolio.
